Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

Our Autodesk R&D team in Krakow develops new disruptive technology like Autodesk Generative Design which was recently integrated in Autodesk Fusion 360 product. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about designing and developing high quality software applications and services.

As a Software Engineer you will be a member of an agile team that is responsible for the entire software development process from analysing the needs through the delivery of working software. You will interact with other software engineers, architects, user experience designers and product managers. Together with your team you will develop new features, design and implement APIs, test them and deploy.

As a member of the development team, you will have a huge impact on how we design, build and deliver our products to millions of people by using varied and new technologies, while we make sure you don’t forget to have fun along the way!

  • Design, prototype and implement product features per market requirements and product specifications
  • Work with a team of software engineers, architects, product designers and quality engineers to implement high-quality products
  • Produce clean, effective, maintainable and well-documented code in adherence with internal standards
  • Thoroughly unit test, debug and solve defects in implemented software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and eliminate implementation problems early in development cycle
  • Research and adopt new technologies/best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of good software architecture practices including design patterns and object-oriented software design and development
  • Experience in C++ programming (understanding current standard methodologies in C++ development)
  • Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle
  • Team work skills and demonstrating technical leadership
  • Good communication skills including writing and speaking in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (MS) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, engineering or a science technical discipline; PhD
  • Knowledge of FEM analysis of constructions/components/structures and related principles, concepts, techniques, industry practices
  • Experience in linear static, nonlinear static, modal, time history, harmonic analyses
  • Experience in technical writing, reviewing and checking analysis work
  • Experience in working with a large code base, including enhancing and resolving issues in pre-existing code
